Arizona Fintech Council creates pathway for non-US innovators to partner with US fintechs
/This week, CCG Catalyst Consulting and the Arizona Bankers Association partnered to create the Arizona Fintech Council, an entity that will allow new opportunities for financial institutions and fintechs to work together and build proofs of concept as part of Arizona’s regulatory sandbox.
Why should we care?
A key element of the Arizona Fintech Council is its lack of domicile restrictions on the financial institutions or fintech applicants. Participating financial institutions can partner with, invest in, and acquire fintech company members. Participants include members of the Arizona Bankers Association, encompassing community, regional, super-regional, and financial institutions with more than $1T in assets. “The unique nature of our state’s fintech sandbox law and our relationship with the national consultancy of CCG Catalyst put us in a position to maximize this economic development opportunity to bring these transformational companies to Arizona, ” said Paul Hickman, president and chief executive officer at the Arizona Bankers Association.
