Envestnent-owned Yodlee rolls out ‘hyper-personalization’ feature

Data aggregator Yodlee, owned by Envestnet, launched a new offering called Insights Solutions, which allows companies to gain personalized views of clients’ finances.

Why should we care?
New APIs from Yodlee, a data aggregation and analytics platform serving more than 1,300 financial institutions and fintech companies, will allow providers to develop experiences that proactively engage customers across financial wellness and planning channels, according to the company. Insights Solutions will help Yodlee differentiate, as FIs and fintechs look to scalable aggregation solutions that will help them grow their product suites. It’s a field that’s become quite competitive, as shown by recent acquisitions of Yodlee competitors Plaid by Visa and Finicity by Mastercard. A crowded market, the pandemic, and a changing regulatory environment make 2020 a challenging year for Yodlee. The unit, which was rumored to be the target of a sale or spinoff early this year, also recently faced questions from federal officials examining customer data privacy concerns.
