Netflix has undergone quite an evolution in its relatively short time in existence. We remember when our enthusiastic friends touted the benefits of this new online company that would mail you DVDs — no need to drive to Blockbuster anymore! 

Well, just as Blockbuster probably wishes it had acquired Netflix when it had the chance, many investors now probably wish they had bought into the company in its early days.  Netflix was the top-performing stock of the decade, with a more than 4,000% return if you had bought it on Jan 1, 2010. Ah, the benefit of foresight (or a time machine).
